![Assassin's Creed]()
When we originally
reported on
Assassin’s Creed Unity and the fact that it’s only for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, many an
Assassin’s Creed fan was rather unhappy that
Unity wasn’t headed for the Xbox 360 and PS3. And sure, while there is some small smidgeon of truth behind this, we’ve seen
Assassin’s Creed Unity and there’s no way the older generation of consoles have any hopes of handling it. Moreover, no promise was made to make future
Assassin’s Creed games (post
Assassin’s Creed IV) multi-generation friendly. Nevertheless, Ubisoft aren’t completely jumping ship and said that
Assassin’s Creed Comet (likely its code name) is still in development.
Assassin’s Creed Comet is the
Assassin’s Creed for the consoles claiming pension, although we know very little else about it. It was fairly clear that Ubisoft are well aware of the size of the market that still only have older generation consoles, and so if that’s you, you need not worry:
The idea that there are still millions of people playing on current gen is not lost on us."
We’re rather hoping the older generation title gives us as interesting a setting as
Unity, even if it’ll have smaller crowds roaming the streets. We’re pretty sure we can manage.
