Bloodborne made quite a splash at Sony's E3 press conference. This is quite understandable considering the somewhat of a cult following surrounding the "Souls" games. Unfortunately, all we originally  saw was essentially just a CGI trailer (albeit a cool looking one) and we really had no idea what to expect fro the game. That was until some actual gameplay footage has found its way down the grapevine and which you can check out for yourself below. Be warned, it's not the greatest quality (being cam footage) and it's still a very early build, but it should, nevertheless, give those fans amongst you more than enough to be satiated.

It's already pretty clear that there's a strong Demon's Souls presence in Bloodborne; the obvious element being that the player seems to be absorbing his victim's souls as he kills them. Some essential details were also released, along with the footage, and a full list of said details can be found here. Some of the things we already know is that Bloodborne is its own IP and not a sequel of any sorts. We also knew that the game would be hellishly difficult and something that would challenge new and old gamers alike, and that's sort of been confirmed.  What we now also know is that the game will take place in a fictional 19th century city called "Yharnham", that the protagonist will be able to dual-wield a scythe and shotgun and that the environment will play quite a large role with the implication that things won't always stay in the same place.

Quite understandably, there's been quite a vocal fanbase already accruing for the game and we count ourselves amongst them. Old-school gaming difficulty is still a relative scarcity in most modern games (despite the incredible popularity), and Bloodborne seems to have enough different elements going for it in order to separate it from its peers but still remain recognizable and likeable. There has been no official release date for the game, although a recent PlayStation Network leak may indicate that we can expect the title as soon as March 31st, 2015.
